Is your stash starting to expand and invading other areas than your sewing studio? Then it is time to ask a few questions:Are your muffin bins topped and about to explode at any minute?
Do you feel overwhelmed? Not sure how to use it or what to do with it, and almost to the point of giving it away?
I feel that way too, at times! Not to worry! I believe I have a cure for this common ailment. Come on, we all have made some type of resolution, right?
Each Thursday I will find some ideas and patterns to use up some of the scraps and even some helpful hints to declutter, and control our stash. Today, let’s talk about our rulers and templates.

Let’s look at the big pieces first and what to do with them. Everyone has their own style of storing their fabric. How do you store it? Is it optimal for you or do you need a reset? These are just a few ideas.

Instead of stacking it, how about filing it? From Pin, Cut and Sew is a video showing how to do that.

See you soon!
BOTTLENECKS
This is a brand new year full of adventure, new possibilities, and a chance to start over. So let’s start off with a discussion. This one started on another group and I thought it would be fun to see what you have to say.
Our first topic is:
BOTTLENECKS! What is yours? What keeps you from finishing your projects?
Is it piecing the blocks, or getting it to a flimsy, or just quilting it? Or something else?
Mine is I love piecing but after that I sometimes get bored with it and don’t want to go any further. Also, too many projects going on at the same time. Also, I have a hubby who is home ALL DAY long and then when I am in the middle of sewing, he wants to go somewhere.
I want to share my latest story about bottlenecks.
You have my permission to laugh. Well, my bottleneck started shortly after midnight, yes, new year’s, when I got up to check on our cat, Purrl. Remember, this is a 6 month old kitten who runs around the house in the middle of the night. A mini t-rex with attitude! I got up and was heading towards the hallway and I accidentally stepped on the cat. She let out a yowl and I planted the right side of my face along with my right hand and foot against the wall. I don’t know who yelped the loudest! I look like I have a black eye in the middle of my face. What a way to start the new year and that was not planned at all! Good thing I am left handed.
Okay, your turn.
