The Living Bible
Isaiah 66:1-2: “Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool: What Temple can you build for me as good as that? What place could be my resting place? My hand has made both earth and skies, and they are mine. Yet I will look with pity on the man who has a humble and a contrite heart, who trembles at my word.”
Jeremiah 2:9: “But I will not give you up–I will plead for you to return to me, and will keep on pleading, yes, even with your children’s children in the years to come.”
Hebrews 13:5: “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’”
How can I escape His love, the love that is neverending, pure and full of righteousness? No matter where I go, He is there waiting patiently for me to turn back to Him. Pleading for me to come back and be safe in His arms. No matter how far I go away from me, He is there, waiting.
He knows where I am and is ready to snatch me away from trouble. No matter how many times I try to run, He is there. Why do I try to escape? His patience with me knows no bounds.
Waiting. I turn and run back to Him. There is no condemnation, just patience and a love that is PURE. No matter how many times or how far I stray, He is there waiting.
Me? I am worthy of His love? Yes, He answers. He gently cleans me off, lifts me up and I am HIS! I am forgiven!
AMEN!
