Answered Prayers

Daniel 10:12 and 19 Living Bible

Note: This morning I thought I was going to do a prayer that “I thought of” but my Bible opened right to this passage and I felt that I HAD to do this instead. Jesus works in wonderous ways.

“Then he said, “Don’t be frightened, Daniel, for your request has been heard in heaven and was answered the very first day you began to fast before the Lord and pray for understanding.

And then going down to verse 19.

Then, the one who seemed to be a man touched me again and said “God loves you very much. Don’t be afraid! Be calms and be strong!”

This is in reference to when Daniel was praying for 21 days but Michael was blocked by the mighty evil spirit of Persia and Daniel was waiting. praying and fasting during that time, waiting for an explanation of his vision.

I believe that has happened to all of us at times, wondering why our prayer wasn’t answered or why it is taking so long for something to happen. Why, oh why, we cry? Why didn’t I get this job? Or why did that happen? Whatever it is, I get impatient if it isn’t happening right this minute!

STOP!

Instead of demanding, do a Heart Check first.

1. PRAY! Give it to HIM!
2. Have you confessed all of your sins, and can present it with a clean mind, heart, and a desire to do whatever HE wants? Have you sacrificed your will so now it is HIS WILL that you desire and not your own?
3. Examine what you are praying for. Is it something that won’t last, like “I want it now”. Or is it something that will last and that is aligned with Jesus and His plans?
4. Is it for His Kingdom to help it grow? Is it What He WANTS? Have you prayed to see if it is What He Wants? Are you aligned with His desires for YOU?
5. TRUST HIM. Believe that He knows what YOU want and will Provide.

If and when you can answer the questions honestly in your heart, then will He come down and answer YOU. Sometimes the delay is that God is working in the background, getting things ready for something more than YOU are expecting! And something that you might not even think of. He wants to bless you and surprise YOU with more than You expected! But first, you have to surrender yourself to HIM totally.

First, WORSHIP HIM!

Second, TRUST HIS timing and what He will do for you.

Third, Declare TRUTH over it.

Fourth, Remove all DOUBT

FIFTH, ANTICIPATE and be THANKFUL for what HE WILL DO!

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I praise You for the gospel and Your commitment to make all things new. My heart is filled with eager expectation for Your faithfulness. I trust You to complete the good work You’ve begun in me, and I wait with hope for Your goodness to be revealed in my situation. I expect Your grace to be sufficient. Amen.
