Today has been a productive day but also filled with interruptions. We got an amazon package filled with batting and a set of dye tools for my hubby. He opened it up and on the inside was a note stating it was missing 6 pieces! So he had to return it and we will get a refund. He has also been preparing the coolers for the warm summer coming up.
Last night I pulled out all of my UFOs and they are piled up waiting their turn. I am not sure how many there are, probably 16 or more. In between the disruptions I managed to get borders on the Halloween quilt and it is now basted and awaiting its turn for quilting. I have another top, the blocks are from a secret sister many years ago, and I am fixing the side border and then after that, I will find a back for it and get it ready for quilting. There are several more that are close to that stage. I will have quite the quilting pile to work on later this month!
I won’t do quilting at the retreat, though, too distracting. Our guild retreat, Rockin’ Bobbins, starts Monday through Wednesday and I want to be prepared and not just rummaging around in bags. I figure by Sunday evening I should have at least 4 viable projects to work on. Oh, and I will have to pack everything up. But first, these disruptions have to CEASE!
Coffee break is over and I am going to attempt to finish that side border. Chat more later.
