Is your stash starting to expand and invading other areas than your sewing studio? Are your muffin bins topped and about to explode at any minute? Do you feel overwhelmed? Not sure how to use it or what to do with it, and almost to the point of giving it away? I feel that way too, at times! Not to worry! I believe I have a cure for this common ailment. Let’s bust our scraps, especially those little pieces that seem to multiply when your back is turned.
Each Thursday I will find some patterns that will deal with the little pieces and even some of the larger and odd pieces that we all tend to accumulate.
Today, we are going to look at how to use up those leftover HSTs. Come on, I know that we all have a lot of these sitting around waiting for their turn to be used up.
Our first one is from National Quilters’ Circle and has examples of what we can use them for.

Our second one is from Stitch and Sew with JosCountryJunction.

And our final HST looks like a lot of fun! You can see it here at Teresa’s Down Under.

Thank you and I will see you next Thursday with more ideas on how to bust those bits and pieces!!

Hello and welcome to my website!
My name is Donna. My hubby and I are retired. We have twin daughters and are blessed with 4 grandchildren. We are owned by a cat, Purrl. who loves to supervise and is very nosy.
I have been quilting since 1996. In addition to making quilts for my family and friends, I also make charity quilts for Marjoree Mason Center and Valley Children's Hospital. Marjoree Mason Center is a local organization here that helps and supports battered and abused women and children get out of abusive relationships. Every Christmas I make several baby quilts for the women, with a small stuffed animal or toy.
I also belong to the San Joaquin Valley Quilters' Guild here in Fresno. Since I retired, I have been trying to finish most of my UFOs, but my stash is way out of control! I have lately gotten into designing quilts and enjoy that even more than sewing them! I love colors of all types and consider myself to be a true scrappy quilter and I do love playing with designs.
I am the owner/moderator of Scrappy Quilters on Facebook, where we are very active with many mystery quilts, challenges and swaps. I welcome you to come by and check us out at https://www.facebook.com/groups/ScrappyQuilters.
Thank you for dropping by and I hope to see you again soon.
