MOVING!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Delightful Designs For those with way too much stash.

I’m sure that you have questions why I decided to move.

Well, first I have had this blog for over 20 years and I believe it is time for a fresh start. I believe we all deserve a clean break from the old.

Second, I have been plagued with spammers and I’m tired of having to go in and manually delete comments.

Third, I want to break some old molds of quilt-a-longs, mysteries and other projects and focus mainly on what I have and how to use it up. I know, what is going to happen to all the patterns? They are (or will be) here but in a different section, under Archives. I am in the process of making up pdf files and you can easily download them from there. I may even put them in the Cloud for storage as I am limited on space. Yes, that includes ALL of them. So, while all of this is happening, please be patient. Yes, some of the posts are still here but NOT for long. In order to move forward, I have to move some stuff out and around.

And for family who are wondering what happened to all the pictures. Yes, they will be here under Archives for Older Photos. I will still keep the current ones up and feature others at special occasions.

Yes, all the categories and pages are different too, but you can still find them easily.

Thank you for stopping by and I should have this taken care of in a couple of days.

TIME FOR CHANGE:

I also feel that I really need to downsize my stash but it’s so hard to do as I consider buying fabric a separate hobby from quilting!

Just looking back from a few years ago:

This is what my stash looked like, all crammed into a closet!

And that was before I started organizing!!

But seriously, this is Way Too Much! I challenge you to post pictures here of your Way Too Much Stash and let’s see if we can work on downsizing. Maybe just a little??

I welcome any and all comments and ideas, so please feel free to comment below.

Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Donna. My hubby and I are retired. We have twin daughters and are blessed with 4 grandchildren. We are owned by a cat, Purrl. who loves to supervise and is very nosy. I have been quilting since 1996. In addition to making quilts for my family and friends, I also make charity quilts for Marjoree Mason Center and Valley Children's Hospital. Marjoree Mason Center is a local organization here that helps and supports battered and abused women and children get out of abusive relationships. Every Christmas I make several baby quilts for the women, with a small stuffed animal or toy. I also belong to the San Joaquin Valley Quilters' Guild here in Fresno. Since I retired, I have been trying to finish most of my UFOs, but my stash is way out of control! I have lately gotten into designing quilts and enjoy that even more than sewing them! I love colors of all types and consider myself to be a true scrappy quilter and I do love playing with designs. I am the owner/moderator of Scrappy Quilters on Facebook, where we are very active with many mystery quilts, challenges and swaps. I welcome you to come by and check us out at https://www.facebook.com/groups/ScrappyQuilters. Thank you for dropping by and I hope to see you again soon.
